Hi I’m Marvin Penick,

—Marv, Dad, Papa, and now Pastor Marvin. I didn’t start out in ministry; I started out frying chicken! But somewhere between grease traps and safety meetings, God stirred a new calling in my heart—“less grease, more grace.” He shifted my focus from serving guests to shepherding souls, teaching me that transformation comes from connection, not performance. My walk with God feels like restoring an old house—careful, messy, and full of grace. Now, as Senior Pastor at Abby Free Church, I’m blessed to serve alongside my wife of nearly 33 years, Jeanie and our family, helping others discover the restoring hope that only God can build.
